A group of four architects made up of three men and one woman worked on the range of products during regular work meetings with Roland Zünd, the managing director and chief designer at Züco. Collaborating in this way enabled Züco to break new ground in chair design. Thanks to their many years experience, the architects themselves had developed a feel for the market and were therefore able to incorporate their creative ideas into a product design which was actually new territory for them.

Nevertheless, it was not always easy to reach a consensus. Intensive dialogue that took place at various inspirational locations led to a shared identity. The drafts produced were constantly optimised throughout the workshops and ultimately resulted in the sophisticated, holistic 4+ range of products.
